Bill Paxton’s Family Launches Wrongful Death Lawsuit

The family of legendary character actor Bill Paxton is taking legal action against the surgeon and hospital that performed heart surgery on the actor nearly a year ago, February 25th, 2017. The medical examiner’s official cause of death was stroke after heart surgery.

Bill Paxton never really garnished the fame and fortune of a DeNiro, Hanks, or Denzel, but held what most agents believed is the most coveted position in Hollywood; Bill was a highly sought after supporting actor in some of the biggest movies made in modern time. Bill Paxton co-starred in big productions like “Titanic,” “Aliens,” “Tombstone,” “True Lies,” and “Apollo 13.” His most notable film lead was opposite Helen Hunt in the 1996 thriller “Twister,” but he did shine in the HBO’s “Big Love” series.

The wrongful death lawsuit alleges the surgery performed on Bill was high risk and unnecessary, and performed by a surgeon that lacked the experience to perform such an operation.
