Bill Nye recently married Liza Mundy in a very private ceremony just last month, according to PEOPLE. The pair got married at the Castle Building’s Haupt Garden at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.. The actor Robert Picardo served as the officiant for the wedding, where Bill reportedly wore cufflinks that had small blue stones that belonged to his father. His bride wore a classic satin gown with a mermaid hemline. A White House photographer, Pete Souza photographed the event for the couple. The wedding was intentionally very private, in a talk with Smithsonian magazine Nye stated, “I can’t be ‘on’ like the way the guy in the Science Guy show is ‘on’ all the time,” “You can’t project that energy all day. At the same time, if I go into a grocery store, you might presume that I came into a grocery store to sign grocery bags—that’s what it may look like to a patron. But a lot of the time, the reason I go into a grocery store is to shop for groceries. But people, my fans, are my bread and butter. I understand that.”
