The documentary covering Amy Winehouse’s life, “Amy,” won the award for Best Documentary at the Oscars on Sunday night. This was the second major award the documentary would win, as it won the Best Documentary award at the Producers Guild Awards earlier this year.
This documentary covering Amy’s life was extremely touching and involved such a wide range of interviews that it covered all aspects of her life. It also included tracks that had never been heard before, making it truly a unique covering of her life.
“Amy” was produced by Krishwerkz Entertainment and the director was Asif Kapadia. The movie grossed $22 million after being released, which was more than the other four documentaries up for the award.
