According to hollywoodreporter.com, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, is currently showing an average audience score on Rotten Tomatoes of 37 percent, and reviews on Amazon have been suspended. On the contrary, the official critic score on Rotten Tomatoes was an average of 83 percent, with The Hollywood Reporter dubbing the first two episodes as having a promising start. According to Amazon the reviewing on their end has been suspended for 72 hours to help avoid trolls and ensure legitimate reviews. Review bombing is when any group of online users decided to post several negative reviews for a product or service due to political issues, social issues, or just simply for fun rather then reviewing the product or service for its true quality. If review bombing is truly to blame, the audience scores will likely rise again. After She-Hulk was review-bombed, it rose from 36 percent to 50 percent after a few weeks had passed. Amazon and others hope to see the same happen after the initial suspension of the ability to review ‘The Rings of Power.’
