Alanis Morissette’s Former Manager Takes Plea Agreement

Alanis Morissette was in the news a while ago, but not for something she did – she was in the news as her former manager Jonathan Todd Schwartz took a plea agreement in exchange for a lighter sentence, after admitting to embezzling over $8.5 million dollars in client funds.

Alanis was born a twin, her brother named Wade has been practicing and teaching Yoga for years. He and his sister remain close to this day.

At the tender age of 10 she recorded her first tune was entitled “Fate, Stay With Me.” She was a prolific writer and studio junkie, spending much of her teen years inside recording studios.

Alanis married Mario “Souleye” Treadway in 2010, but was also once engaged to heart throb actor Ryan Reynolds (you know he’s also Canadian born right?).

It’s not unusual for mega-groups to have opened for lesser known acts in their early days. Jimi Hendrix spent time once opening for The Monkees. Alanis once did a tour opening up for Vanilla Ice.
