Alan Thicke passed away on December 13 and reports are now out explain the why and how. The “Growing Pains” star passed away due to a “ruptured aorta” as well as a “standard Type A aortic dissection.” These details were obtained from the death certificate.
This all occurred while Thicke was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son on that sad December 13 day. They were in Burbank, California at the Pickwick Gardens ice rink.
At the time of the incident he seemed healthy and comfortable. Things took a turn for a worse when he felt pain while on the ice and went to the bench to get comfortable. This turned into Thicke bending over and moaning. He never lost consciousness and would stop moaning as paramedics arrived on the scene. He would leave us later that afternoon.
Rest in peace Alan Thicke.
