Adam LaRoche’s Retires Because of Clubhouse Rules

Adam LaRoche has recently retired from the Chicago White Sox and it’s not because he feels he’s got nothing left in the tank. Originally, we heard he retired, but weren’t quite sure why. It has now come out that new clubhouse rules have made it so Adam’s son, Drake, can no longer be at the clubhouse every day.

White Sox’s president, Kenny Williams, confronted Adam about a new team rule involving children of players on the team and it did not strike him the right way. Williams has gone on record as saying that he didn’t say Drake could no longer come in the clubhouse, but would not be able to come every single day like he had in year’s past. Williams cites teammate’s inability to feel comfortable with a young teenager in the clubhouse before and after ball games.

This really makes for an interesting situation, but if this is what Adam wants to do then we’re proud of him for standing up for his family.
