Adam Jones came out Monday night and told the press that he had been yelled at by the Red Sox fans in Fenway Park and it got so bad that they used racial taunts. This is obviously not something you want to hear about, but unfortunately this still happens.
There is reason to believe there is hope in this world though. Tuesday night Adam Jones stepped up to the plate in his first at bat and received something he says he had never received before, a standing ovation. Take a look here. What a cool moment that was unfortunately provoked by a bad one the night before.
As Jones said when he first brought it up Monday, it’s fine if you want to boo an opposing player, but keep the personal and/or racial taunts out of it. We hope this is the last time we hear about anything like this.
