Well, another start of a work week. We’ll try and get you by with a little bit of gossip for your water cooler talk. Here are your headlines for Monday..
Keith Emmerson of the legendary “Emmerson, Lake and Palmer” has died at the age of 71 due to a single gunshot to the head, although police will not confirm that it was a suicide.
Randy Meisner’s wife, Lana Rae, was accidently killed while moving boxes in her home last week. It seems the rifle in one of the boxes went off killing her instantly. It’s not been a good year for Randy, former original member of the Eagles, as he was arrested in July of 2015 for an attempted suicide with an AK-47; now his wife has died.
Legendary producer George Martin has died at the age of 90, slipping peacefully in his sleep in London. George had his fingerprints on all but one of the Beatles albums, and is in both the US and UK Rock N’ Roll Halls of Fame.
Bad Company and guitarist Joe Walsh have announced a collaborative tour in 2016, which will begin in May in Texas ending in Tennessee during the middle of the summer.
AC/DC has postponed their tour as front man and lead guitarist Brian Johnson has been diagnosed with 100% loss of hearing, ordered by his doctors to stop playing. Malcom Young, another member of the band has been on the road battling dementia, and drummer Phil Rudd is in the midst of a legal battle after a ;murder by hire’ arrest. It seems the band is indeed on a “Highway to Hell.”
Supertramp is in the news as conspiracy theorists have concluded that their “Breakfast in America” album cover was a predictive omen to 9/11.
