A1 Denim is Bringing Back Jorts for Summer 2023

Emerging London label A1 Denim has witnessed a meteoric rise, growing into a brand for the IYKYK crowds of both its hometown and Paris. Now, as Hypebeast reports, the brand is following on from its Mia Khalifa-co-signed Soho Yacht Club collaboration and getting ready for the summer with an upcoming drop centered around jean shorts, a.k.a. jorts.

While jorts had a moment last year, they are set to really make it big this Summer season. The idea is baggier equals better, as a wider fit gives off an air of ’90s and naughties superstar nostalgia. Think John Cena, Pharrell, Tupac, Mark Wahlberg, the Spice Girls. It’s a style that has populated the high-fashion runways, with Louis Vuitton, LOEWE, Givenchy, and Marine Serre all getting in on the jort game.

Not just joining, but hopefully leading the jort gang scene is A1 Denim, as it sets to drop two pairs: one in washed blue, another in washed black. Its signature denim is heavy and quintessentially ’90s, and the shorts are complete with A1 Denim’s logo embroidered on the right leg.

In addition to this, A1 Denim presents two T-shirts. One comes in white and features an artistic, angelic graphic penned by the tattoo artist XENIX/Inès, and another that uses fingers to create “A1.” Rounding out the drop, the imprint presents A1 Denim Underwear, centered around tank tops that riff on Calvin Klein Underwear’s curvaceous and thin logo.
