Gwen Renée Stefani was born in 1969 in Fullerton, California, and for many years we knew her as the lead singer of the band No Doubt. It’s hard to say that she’s not been top of mind this last year, but for some of the wrong reasons. Her divorce from long-time husband Gavin was recently granted, and not a moment too soon, as her off stage romance with country star Blake Shelton has been making tabloids fly off the shelf.
Musically, Gwen has been nominated eight times for a Gammy, and has won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Let Me Blow Ya Mind.” Gwen spent the better part of the last eight years being married to then Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale. The couple has three children and has publicly stated they would be great co-parents through all this turmoil.
Gwen’s brother introduced her to music, giving her records to listen to as a teen. She and Eric are very close. It was Eric who formed a band and asked her to sing some vocals for some songs he was writing. Gwen is quite an entrepreneur, having launched her own line of perfume on Ellen.
