Jimi Hendrix was one in a million in the word of rock and roll, leaving this warm earth at the age of 27, well before his time. If you were to look at any ‘top guitarists’ of all-time list, Jimi will undoubtedly be in every top five.
In honor of life and talents, there’s a really cool tour underway called ‘Experience Hendrix 2017,’ celebrating his accomplishments in rock. Think of the world’s best artists, being joined by the stars of today, forming the ultimate Jimi Hendrix tribute band.
Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, along with notables Kenny Wayne Sheperd and Dweezil Zappa are scheduled to join the band for a few tour stops, as are David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas from Los Lobos. Buddy Guy will join the tour at some point this year, as well Billy Cox and Henri Brown.
