NCAA’s March Madness has begun, but brackets aren’t typically due until Thursday. We’re here to give you that lower seeded team that will surprise us all come the end of the weekend. Let’s take a look at three teams that have the potential to surprise us all!
Northern Iowa has some pretty big wins this year, really proving that they have the potential to win some big games. They beat UNC and Iowa State early on and Wichita State late in the season to prove they still have that fight in them late in the season. We think they could easily beat the two teams from Texas (Texas and Texas A&M) to make it to the Sweet 16.
Temple is a 10 seed that could make waves early on in this tournament. While Ken Pom’s stats think they’re lucky, it’s better to be lucky than good! They’ve been battle tested playing and losing close games to Butler, Utah, and St. Joes, but they’ve also had some nice wins like SMU, Cincinnati, and UConn. They’ll face a struggling Iowa team and Villanova who always has a shot at getting cold from the free throw line.
Stephen F. Austin is the lowest seed we think has a shot at winning a game and it’s all because of the pressure they put on other teams. They’ve done well in past tournaments and get a very fun matchup against West Virginia in week one. Then they’ll face an overrated Notre Dame team or the play-in game winner between Tulsa and Michigan.
Best of luck on your brackets! And we hope that these teams pull through for you!
