Mark Hoppus isn’t taking any chances with his family’s health, not even on his birthday, during the coronavirus spread.
The Blink-182 co-founder tweeted on Sunday, March 15th that he and his family are taking extra precautions to stay healthy by self-quarantining inside their home.
“We are doing our part to slow the spread,” he tweeted. “The best possible outcome is that nothing happens, which will seem like we vastly overreacted, which is paradoxical, but necessary.”
“My family and I are hunkered down in our house for the next week,” Hoppus tweeted. “We are self-quarantining and canceled all people coming to the house, all meetings and events. No one in, no one out. We have another family that we’re friends with who are doing the same.”
The rock musician also noted that his family has enough food and supplies to last the week, and added that if they’re not showing any symptoms of the virus, they will begin seeing family and friends again.
