Korn Releases New Album ‘The Nothing’

On Friday, September 13th, Korn released their thirteenth full-length studio album, The Nothing. The 13-track project finds the iconic metal band delving into the depths of grief and darkness.

The Nothing was teased by a triple-shot of singles, “You’ll Never Find Me,” “Cold” and “Can You Hear Me,” and will be followed by the band’s upcoming six-part, dramatized podcast of the same name. Korn recently wrapped a cross-country North American headlining tour and they slated to take the stage at Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival on Oct. 13, with plans for a 2020 tour expected to be announced soon.

“The Darkness is Revealing” opens with melodic verses and a nearly a capella pre-chorus before exploding into an anthemic, jarring chorus, while the propulsive, hard-charging “The Ringmaster” and heartbreaking album closer “Surrender To Failure” are awash with singer Jonanthan Davis’ distinctive wail as he processes themes of loss, regret and the struggle to find healing amidst pain.
