On Thursday, May 30th, the music video for Katy Perry’s upcoming single, “Never Really Over,” and it promises to be a sun-splashed, colorful exploration of healing hearts and finding new love. “Two years and just like that/ My heart still takes me back,” Perry sings in the clip, standing in a field surrounded by dancers in guazy, multi-colored robes. “It’s never really over.”
Katy Perry’s team told GMA that the track is all about “learning to heal your heart, let go and find a place to unite.” Along with a tropical pop beat, the track is accompanied by a tick-tock rhythm and marching band drums.
The video for Perry’s first solo track in two years was shot in Malibu and will drop at midnight.
