Sports Superstar Tim Tebow Advocates for Homeschooling

One of America’s most beloved athletes and philanthropists, Tim Tebow, has just announced a new partnership with Homeschool Buyers Co-op, the world’s largest buyers’ club for homeschoolers.

Homeschool Buyers Co-op is a free community focused on providing homeschool families with access to the world’s best curriculum at the lowest prices. The buying power of over 230,000 member families ensure the Co-op can offer curriculum for prices similar to large school districts.

As a former homeschooler, Tim has long been an advocate of homeschooling. In his early education years, Tim and his siblings worked on his family’s farm and attended classes taught by his parents. “The biggest ways that you overcome fear and doubt are with love and with purpose. We did homeschooling because my parents wanted to instill love in us and purpose in our lives,” said Tim.

Tim had obstacles that challenged his homeschool journey. He struggled with dyslexia as a child, which made him think that he would never be able to read a book with ease. However, he never stopped challenging himself to read more frequently to improve his skills, and eventually, became a 3-time New York Times best-selling author, including best-selling homeschool curriculum, Know Who You Are. Live Like It Matters.

Tim’s parents, Bob and Pam, were pioneers of the homeschool movement when they began homeschooling the oldest of their five children in 1982. With their unwavering commitment to homeschooling and passion for quality education both inside and outside of their homeschool, Bob and Pam raised Tim to be a trailblazing athlete and the first homeschooler to win the Heisman Trophy.

“Tim Tebow’s voice will help the Co-op further our mission of proliferating the homeschool community with exceptional curriculum,” said Jae Choi, CEO of Homeschool Buyers Co-op. “We support over 230,000 homeschool families by getting the best deals on world-class curriculum. I hope that with Tim, we can empower more homeschoolers to give their children customized education they need to succeed.”
