A Book about Kurt Cobain by Danny Goldberg Gets Release Date

Serving the Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain, by Danny Goldberg will hit shelves on April 2. Goldberg managed Nirvana from 1990 to 1994, and will share his memories of serving the iconic punk rock band during the peak of their success, as well as his account of Cobain’s personal life highs (including his marriage to fellow musician Courtney Love and birth of their daughter, Frances Bean) and his devastating lows, which lead to his tragic suicide that impacted fans and artists alike.

The book is said to portray the rock legend in a “frank portrait,” as Goldberg pulls from never-before seen files that include interviews with Cobain’s close family members (including Love herself), friends and former bandmates (including Krist Novoselic). Rather than focusing on the angst that has followed the story of the groundbreaking band, Goldberg will showcase Nirvana and Cobain’s lasting impact in the world of rock and roll and why their legacy remains so strong — even with a new generation of fans.

The 304-page book will be available for purchase on April 2 for $28.99.
