The ROCK JUSTICE AWARDS™ is thrilled to announce that Leonid and Friends, a remarkable 11-piece miracle band from Moscow has arrived in America for their SOLD OUT Debut American Concerts on January 11, 12, and 13 at the legendary Village Studios in L.A.
In just three short years, Leonid and Friends has blown the minds of fans with their uncanny ability to capture the spirit, musicality and fire of American super-group Chicago. The group has not seen Chicago perform live, yet replicates the band’s complex arrangements amazingly note for note. “Chicago has never been in Russia and none of us have attended their concerts,” said Leonid Vorobyev, a multi-instrumentalist and the band’s leader.
Leonid and Friends has become an internet phenomenon with over one million followers hooked by the group’s 20 spot-on versions of beloved hits by Chicago. Videos like “Beginnings”, “25 or 6 to 4”, and “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day” have been viewed over 40 million times! From a grassroots level, American fans have demanded that the group find its way West.
The group will honored with the “Chicago Award” for its display of the best musicianship on the planet. Bennett Zimmerman, Creator of the ROCK JUSTICE AWARDS, remarked, “We have always known that the rock group Chicago set the standard as we set out to find the world’s best musicianship in a band. The fact that this feat has been accomplished from Russia points to an important tipping point in world relations where we indeed are able to listen and sing with each other.”
