Looks like fall’s perennial favorite flavor has some competition. Cinnamon roll-flavored foods are suddenly everywhere this year. Ben & Jerry’s has Cinnamon Buns ice cream and Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream Sandwiches. Cereals from Shredded Wheat to Captain Crunch have put a Cinnamon Roll spin on things. Poptarts and Larabar both boast Cinnamon Roll snack bars, and you can Cinnamize any old slice of toast with Downey’s Cinnamon Honey Butter. Keebler debuted Cinnamon Roll Cookies with “the delicious flavor of Cinnabon cinnamon,” and Cinnabon themselves are gearing up to take over the holidays with Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll candy canes!
So all you Cinnamonaholics better get ready to be deluged with all your friends’ instagram and pinterest pics of giant cinnamon rolls, hugs, pancakes, pies, cupcakes, shacks and on and on. This year, Cinnamon’s on a Roll.
