John Lennon’s iconic 1971 album Imagine, featuring his famous plea for peace and unity that imagines “all the people sharing all the world,” is being celebrated and intimately explored with a comprehensive box set, Imagine – The Ultimate Collection, two acclaimed films – “Imagine” and “Gimme Some Truth” – and a lavish book titled “Imagine John Yoko,” personally compiled by Yoko Ono Lennon. The suite of releases coincide with what would have been the legendary artist’s 78th birthday today, October 9th.
“Imagine was created with immense love and concern for the children of the world. I hope you enjoy it,” says Ono Lennon in the preface of the 120-page book that accompanies the box set.

“The new mixes shine, with warmth and stereo width.” ★★★★ – MOJO
“the Imagine box is full of revelations and insights into the music, from a crazy year when John exploded creatively… remains as fresh and timely as it was in 1971 — all over this box set, you can hear why.” – ROLLING STONE
“Imagine – The Ultimate Collection is near perfect in so many ways and sets a new standard, raising the bar for this sort of retrospective production.
