Rick Springfield has accepted the role of guest-star for the upcoming season of the comedy series ‘The Goldbergs’ on ABC ‘ and Rick’s excited about the opportunity to get back to an earlier love, acting. Rick will play Erica Goldberg’s new boss, in a cheeky bar called ‘Gary-oke’s a karaoke bar.
Most fans forget that Rick got his shot at stardom as a regular on the soap ‘General Hospital,’ then moved up to big roles in ‘Californication’ ‘American Horror Story, and ‘Supernatural.’
Rick Springfield is widely known for his first big hit in the US, “Jessie’s Girl,” and great success for earning a Grammy Award for ‘Best Male Rock Vocal Performance that year’ in 1981. Rick Springfield – ‘Late Late at Night.’ The ABC show The Goldbergs returns September 26th, 8pm Eastern for its 6th season.
