Natalie Portman’s Busy Year

Everyone over the age of 40 knows what the phrase ‘Dear Abby’ means; the legendary advice columnist and her sister Ann Landers doled out guidance for nearly 50 years. We now hear that actress Natalie Portman has agreed to direct and star in an upcoming movie based on sisters Esther and Pauline Friedman A.K.A. Ann Landers and Dear Abby.

She began her acting career early in her childhood, playing a young girl in the film ‘Leon: The Professional’ in 1994 opposite Jean Reno. As an adult, she’s been our ‘Black Swan’ our ‘Jackie’ (the film in 2016 about Jackie Kennedy) and our favorite in Star Wars films.

September will be a critical month for Natalie as her two films, ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovon’ and ‘Vox Lux’ debut at the Toronto Film Festival.
