Cynthia Nixon Turns Left on Her Way to Gov Run

A few of our favorite actors and actresses were out on the town this week to help a friend who happens to be running for Governor in New York! Cynthia Nixon, a star from the television hit series ‘Sex and the City’ was the object of great affection for an event called ‘Sing Out for Cynthia’ designed to raise money for the gubernatorial run by Cynthia this fall. She was joined by actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family, and Roseanne’s Sandra Bernhard. This week Cynthia was comfortable in calling herself a ‘Democratic Socialist’ as she revs up her run in the fall.

Over her acting career, Cynthia has earned Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Awards, but has always been an activist. The hit show ‘Sex and the City’ starred Cynthia, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kristin Davis, and became one of our favorite shows of the past 20 years.
