Carole King’s Broadway Show Beautiful: The Carole King Musical On Fire

Carole King has been writing and performing for over 40 years, starting out as a songwriter at the famed ‘Brill Building’ in New York City in the early 60s, writing songs like “Up On the Roof” “You’ve Got a Friend” “So Far Away” and “It’s Too Late” which solidified her as an incredible voice in American music. Now, ‘Supergirl’ actress Melissa Benoist has been chosen to play Carole on Broadway in the production called ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.’

Although Benoist is only 29-years-old, she’ll portray Carole in the musical, which continues on Broadway through August 4th. There’s a lot of material work with, give Carole has earned seven Grammy’s, and is a member of the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is also a Kennedy Center Honoree. Carole also has her own Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Imagine the ensemble of aspiring artists that wrote music at the legendary Brill Building; Carole, Neil Diamond, Gerry Goffin, Neil Sedaka, and Burt Bacharach all began their careers at 1619 Broadway, 49th Street, in the New York City in Manhattan.
