We’ve crowned champions in professional hockey and basketball, with major league baseball being center stage this summer. What about those ‘between inning’ songs we love to hear? Here are a few of our favs…
“Thunderstruck” by AC/DC is a wonderful song that just sounds right. It’s also a drinking game for the young, but that’s for another day. “Back in Black” and “Highway to Hell” are often used as well.
For some reason the Outfield’s “Your Love” continues to be a baseball favorite, leaving our heads scratching as the song has no reference to sports or baseball in particular.
“Rock and Roll Part II” by Gary Glitter is the song that has no words with the exception of the shouted ‘Hey” – you would know it when you heard it.
“The Final Countdown” by Europe is a player ‘walk up’ song favorite, and we suspect it’s because of the songs used in the recent GEICO commercial.
“Don’t Stop Believing” is the Journey song that is the ultimate sports song used by every sports team in every venue in every state in the union.
