Winners, Losers, and “Mom and Dad I Crashed the Pace Car”…

Sometimes adults can do stupid things in the family car, and this past weekend the Duel 2 of IndyCar’s Detroit Grand Prix was delayed as the Corvette ZR1 pace car, driven by a General Motors vice president Mark Reuss, spun out just before the race, striking the wall and causing a lengthy delay at Belle Isle. We don’t have any word what Mark said to his parents.

There have been only 12 Triple Crown winners in modern horse racing and Justify became the 13th to achieve this crown. Talk about multiple records; Justify winning at Belmont made him the second undefeated Triple Crown champion, with Mike Smith, the oldest jockey to win the Triple Crown at 52 years old.

As we approach the MLB All-Star Game, there are a few surprises; Baltimore is 24 games behind division leader Yankees, The Indians and Brewers are leading their division, with close races in the NL East, Central, and AL West. Honestly, did you think the Mariners would be in first place as we speak?
