Actress Shailene Woodley stars in the movie ‘Adrift’ which open this week in neighborhood theaters, and it gives us a chance to get to know her a little better. Her early work began as a child actor in television series like The District, Without a Trace, and The O.C.
Shailene’s big Hollywood film break came in the film ‘The Descendants’ opposite George Clooney, while she has also wowed critics and audiences in the films ‘The Fault in our Stars’ and ‘Insurgent.’
Life can offer a few twists and turns, that at the times make no sense at all; Shailene desperately wanted the role of Lucy in the film, ‘I Am Sam,’ but the part went to Dakota Fanning. On the flip side of that coin, she was offered the role of Anastasia Steele in an unknown film (at the time) called ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ but turned it down – Dakota Johnson took the part.
