Your team enters the field, and boom there’s a great tune. What makes a great Super Sports Song?
“Enter Sandman” by Metallica is a classic sports song by a heavy metal band that has been widely accepted by most poring teams, used since its release at Virginia Tech home football games.
“Start Me Up” by the Rolling Stones is a simple, clean, guitar driven song that you’ll hear at baseball, football, and even baking competitions. The song is short and sweet for any sporting event.
For some reason, the Outfield’s “You Love” has been adopted for sporting events and in particular baseball ‘walk up’ songs.
“Na Na Hey Hey” by the 60s band Steam is the single most played song at the end of the sporting event when one group of fans want to really rub it into the other group of fans.
“Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, “Gonna Fly Now” (The theme from Rocky) and Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” will be heard this summer as well you can believe that.
