It’s not uncommon for singer or bands to politically active, and Pearl Jam is the latest example of successful brands lending their hands to a political cause. This summer, Pearl Jam will travel to the rustic location of the Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana for a ‘Rock2Vote’ campaign intended to raise the awareness of our civic duty while increasing voting roles. Why Missoula MT? It’s the home of Pearl Jam’s bassist Jeff Ament.
‘Rock2Vote;’ is intended to be a loud voice for the fight in Montana for values unique to the state, while echoing the thought that every vote matters. The countries mid-term election are coming up, with the national election not far off. This event is teaming up with the Montana non-profit organizations: Forward Montana, Montana Native Vote, Montana Conservation Voters and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana.
The Missoula show takes place August 13. It’s a stop on Pearl Jam’s summer U.S. stadium tour, which begins August 8 in Seattle.
