Téa Leoni Drives Hugh ‘Madam Secretary’ Ratings

One of the top rated shows on television these days stars a strong and capable actress who has earned every accolade she’s ever earned by the name of Téa Leoni, the woman who carries ‘Madam Secretary.’ The show reveals what it must be like to be a top cabinet member in a highly charged administration. ‘Madam Secretary’ made its CBS debut in 2014, and has continued to earn high ratings and praise since then.

Elizabeth Téa Pantaleoni was born in New York City to an average American family, her mother a dietician and nutritionist, her father a corporate lawyer. Upon graduation from a private school in Vermont, Tea began earning her acting bones, cast in the NBC daytime soap opera, Santa Barbara. After leaving daytime television, Téa landed small roles in the films ‘Switch’ and ‘A League of Their Own.’

Her most prominent roles on the Silver Screen were in the films ‘Bad Boys,’ ‘Deep Impact’ and ‘Fun with Dick and Jane.’ Téa was once married to actor David Duchovny, divorcing after a difficult marriage in 2014. Although single, she has been dating ‘Madam Secretary’ co-star Tim Daly since late 2014.
