Bruce Springsteen Wins a Tony Award

Bruce Springsteen has been on Broadway with a sell-out show since the middle of last year, and he’s earned 20 Grammys and an Oscar, and now he’s being given a special Tony Award. His Broadway show ‘Springsteen on Broadway; is being honored as with the Emmy nod. Bruce is now part of an elite group of entertainers that are considered “EGOT” , meaning he’s earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

Others that are in the EGOT club are Rita Moreno, Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, and film director and Hollywood writer Mike Nichols. The Tony Awards, hosted by Broadway stars Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban, air live from New York’s Radio City Music Hall June 10th at 8 p.m. ET.
