Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban Sign on to Tony Host Duties

Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban have a great deal in common; each is a talented singer, each has earned awards, and now the two will share the stage as co-hosts for this year’s Tony celebration, scheduled for June 10th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The production company and Tony association would like you to forget that it was Kevin Spacey who hosted the awards last year, so bring on Sara and Josh.

We’ve mentioned the obvious similarities for these two co-hosts, but did you know that each has a great deal of success on Broadway? Josh earned a Tony nomination in 2017 for his work in “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812”, while Sara wrote the score for “Waitress,” receiving a Tony nomination and starring in the musical. Sara’s also getting total props for portraying Mary Magdalene in the live the NBC production of “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.”

The Tony Awards will be held June 10th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
