There will be the 25 new entries inducted into the upcoming class for the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, including many of your favorite songs, recordings, albums and more. These new members of the national registry are singled out as the best, reflecting each contribution to the historical, and contribution to the sound of America. Here’s the relevant list of the new members…
The list within the 25 inductees include the single “Footloose” from Kenny Loggins, the song that solidified the movie of the same name, Fleetwood Mac’s classic 1977 album ‘Rumours,’ The Temptations’ 1964 classic “My Girl,” Chic’s 1978 “Le Freak, and the single “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You” recorded by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine.
Just for good measure, ‘An Evening with Groucho’ the album is also on the list. There are now over 500 entries, comprising of songs, albums, and voice recordings in the National Recording Registry.
