The weekend box office numbers will surprise you, as ‘Black Panther,’ fought off a late charge by the second place finisher ‘Tomb Rader’ to hold onto first place for the fifth weekend in a row, easily topping $1 billion on total ticket sales. The inspirational Christian based film ‘I Can Only Imagine,’ starring Dennis Quad opened strong, while ‘Loge Simon,’ and a ‘Wrinkle in Time’ rounded out the top five. There were some surprises this weekend, as ‘Game Night,’ ‘Stranger: Prey at Night,’ ‘Perter Rabbit,’ ‘Red Sparrow,’ and ‘Death Wish’ held down spots five through 10 in gross revenue numbers.
The popular television show ‘The Sinner’ was good (or bad enough) to earn a second season from the USA Network, while all eyes are on CBS and the ’60 Minutes’ program for next week, as the Stormy Daniels (you know who she is) interview is scheduled for the 25th, providing the lawyers don’t get in the way.
