Life is filled with surprises, ups and downs; when Cranberries lead singer and founder Dolores O’Riordan passed away suddenly just a few weeks ago, it shook everyone. The remaining members of the Cranberries have decided to release a remastered and reissued 25th anniversary special of their 1993 album “Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We?,” their debut LP later this month to honor Dolores; the single “Linger” came from this album.
Dolores O’Riordan unexpectedly died (there is still no official cause of death) on January 15th at the age of 46 as a guest of the London Hilton on Park Lane while preparing for a studio session. She did lay down a number of vocals from previous studio sessions, and as technology would have it, the Cranberries are planning on finishing the album they were working on, with her vocals. The new project is expected to drop later this year.
