In the 80’s, the best band ever was Journey; we’re pretty sure that’s a well-known fact or something, but seriously was there a better band than Journey? Now when you listen to the band’s ‘Greatest Hits’ album, you will be part of history – yes the Greatest Hits album was released years ago, but it’s just become only the third LP to ever spend at least 500 total weeks on the Billboard 200 list. That’s 500 total weeks folks!
Journey’s ‘Greatest Hits’ made its debut on the Billboard 200 in December 1988, peaking at number 10 in February of 1989. The album dropped off for a while but kept returning through the decades to eventually earn 500 weeks. What’s on this ‘Greatest Hits’ album? How about the million-sellers “Who’s Crying Now?” “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Any Way You Want It,” and of course “Faithfully.”
The LPs that have spent the most time on the Billboard are Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ and Bob Marley and The Wailers ‘Legend.’
