In the early days, the Indianapolis 500 car race was a weekend of little fanfare, with the emphasis placed on the teams, the drivers, and the race itself. Over the years, the executives of the event began to add celebrities and wonderful fanfare, making the Indianapolis 500 one of the biggest sports spectacles of the year.
This year, Train will grace the stage and entertain race fans with a live pre-race concert May 25th, with Blues Traveler and country music star Sam Hunt also performing that week. You may know that Train will be on an extensive tour with Hall and Oates that kicks off May 1st in Sacramento.
The Indianapolis 500 gets underway, May 27th. The race catchphrase “Gentlemen start your engines” will be heard around 12:15 that afternoon on the track.
