It’s not every day that you hear someone talking about Drexel or Delaware basketball, but today is the day you hear many doing so. This is because they played each other last night and broke a record that is truly amazing to think about.
Drexel was down 34 points at one point in the game but still won, making it the largest comeback ever in D1 history. The score was 53-19 just before the end of the first half before the lead was reduced to 27 points at the halfway point in the game. The final score of this one ended up being 85-83.
The previous biggest comeback in D1 history was held by Duke who was down 32 points at one time in a game in 1950 but still came out victorious. They would beat Tulane in that game.
The leaders for Drexel last night included Tramaine Isabell (29 points) and Eric Carter (15 points and 12 rebounds).
