Willie Nelson will celebrate his 85th birthday this year, but his age is not slowing him down one bit, as news of yet another album called ‘Last Man Standing’ made headlines, dropping April 27th. Willie brings in an old friend to help write and produce the 11 tracks found on the new album, his longtime friend Buddy Cannon; producer of Willie’s ‘God’s Problem Child’ a year ago. Buddy co-wrote more than half the songs on the album.
It’s good to see that Willie has retained his sense of humor in songwriting, as the title track “Last Man Standing” pokes fun at the media circus that surrounded his temporary poor health earlier this year. Willie’s birthday is April 29th, so be sure to pick up ‘Last Man Standing’ just a couple of days prior, April 27th.
