The family of the late co-founder of rock and roll Chuck Berry has begun working with a British film group to create and release an upcoming documentary/biopic about Chuck and his life in music. The current working title of the project is ‘CHUCK! The Documentary,’ with a release date of later in the year. The project is being directed by Jon Brewer, a man who also worked on films based on Bad Company, Jimi Hendrix, and B. B. King.
Chuck Berry, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, spent 70+ years in music, passing away on March 18, 2017, at the age of 90. Chuck would sell millions of records, hitting the charts with classics like “Rock and Roll Music,” “Maybelline,” and “Sweet Little Sixteen.” Can you name his only number one song? “My Ding a Ling” was his only monster hit, a live recording released in 1972.
‘CHUCK! The Documentary’ is expected to begin filming on set in early summer.
