America loves a mystery. Hollywood loves a scandal. 80s something actor Robert Wagner once loved his wife Natalie Wood, but that ended on November 29th, 1981 when Santa Catalina Island residents found her lifeless body in the water.
The buzz this week has been the re-opening of the investigation of the death of Natalie Wood, naming Robert Wagner as a ‘person of interest.’ Her official cause of death was ruled ‘accidental’ but authorities re-opened the case in 2011. Here’s what we know…
Friend and fellow actor Christopher Walken was a guest on the boat at the time of her death. In 2011 the case was re-opened and authorities revised her autopsy report to included bruises on her upper torso and legs that look fresh and could have been sustained before Natalie entered the water. The captain now says he may not have told the truth to the police when questioned.
As police comb through evidence and re-interview the boat captain and those that are still alive and available, it’s highly unlikely Robert Wagner will be in any legal jeopardy.
