The Tribeca Film Festival will debut a document ‘Love, Gilda,’ on Wednesday April 18th during the event, an inside look at the late Gilda Radner, an original cast member of Saturday Night Live on NBC.
Comedian Gilda Radner was a rarity, a funny brave comedian and star of ‘SNL’ in the early days of the nationally televised live NBC show; she proved she was an unstoppable train of talent until her untimely death at 42 to cancer in 1989. Gilda earned an Emmy for her many years on ‘SNL’ and would eventually create a one-woman show for Broadway that solidified her place in comedy.
‘Love Gilda’ will feature interviews from current women in the business who will share how Gilda inspired them; Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph among the celebrities that help celebrates Gilda’s life in film.
‘Love, Gilda,’ the inside look at an American treasure will be part of the Tribeca Film Festival, featured on Wednesday, April 18th.
