Hitsville Receives Huge Donation for Expansion

If you ever visit Detroit, Michigan, you’ll want to visit the landmarks that made the Motor city famous; the Highland Park Ford assembly factory, or the empty field where old Tiger Stadium (Michigan and Trumbull) used to be. You will also want to visit the home Berry Gordy, the Grand Blvd estate, where dreams did come true.

The Motown home of Berry is known as the Motown Museum, (Hitsville U.S.A.) and it recently received a $500,000 donation from the Hudson-Webber Foundation for needed expansion plans. The Museum plans to add 50,000 in new space, making the property more interactive with meeting rooms, a surround sound theater, additional recording studios, and offer retail space for Detroit businesses.
