The Grammys will be held January 28th on CBS beginning at 7:30 pm, and we thought we’d take a look at the nominees and their songs in the ‘Best Country Song’ category.
“Better Man” written by Taylor Swift, performed by Little Big Town has already earned a CMA for ‘Song of the Year’ and an odds-on favorite for the Grammy.
“Body Like A Back Road” written by Zach Crowell, Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally & Josh Osborne, and performed by Sam Hunt held the top spot on the charts for a record 20 weeks, becoming Sam’s most commercial song to date.
“Broken Halos” written by Mike Henderson & Chris Stapleton, sung by Chris Stapleton comes from Chris’s 2nd album ‘From a Room: Volume 1’ and made its premiere on the Dolly Parton telethon in December of 2016.
“Drinkin’ Problem” written by Jess Carson, Cameron Duddy, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne & Mark Wystrach, performed by Midland from their debut LP ‘On the Rocks,’ and they had a hoot selling moonshine in the video, shot in Lockhart TX.
“Tin Man” written by Jack Ingram, Miranda Lambert & Jon Randall, sung by Miranda Lambert, is the ultimate break-up song, written after her divorce from Blake Shelton. The song is also a tribute to Kenny’s earlier song with a similar title.
