The ‘Time’s Up’ Movement Begins Sunday at the Golden Globes

2017 has been a difficult year for Hollywood; mogul Harvey Weinstein became the critical mass for the #MeToo movement, with literally dozens of bankable names being accused of sexual harassment being called out on the carpet. Now, Hollywood is prepared to wear black on the red carpet, with stars Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes, and over 300 women in Tinsel Town launching the ‘Time’s Up’ movement, a street-level response to the decades of unfair treatment of women in the entertainment industry.

‘Time’s Up on silence, Time’s Up on waiting, Time’s Up on tolerating discrimination, harassment, and abuse,’ is the creed of the movement. The women of the movement is calling for zero tolerance, calling for men and women to wear black on the red carpet for the upcoming Golden Globes ceremony, held in Los Angeles this Sunday, broadcast on NBC at 8pm Est,

Actors Dwayne Johnson, Tom Hanks, Armie Hammer, Tom Hiddleston, and others have all committed to wearing black as a show of solidarity this Sunday.
