Say Goodbye to 2017’s Shooting Stars

The stars we lost this year that we’ll miss most will be Tom Petty, David Cassidy, AC/DC‘s Malcolm and George Young, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Gregg Allman, Chuck Berry, Glen Campbell, Fats Domino, Steely Dan’s Walter Becker, and J. Geils.

The year was filled with memorable moments not all good; Gene Simmons had a tough year; he lost a trademark decision to own the ‘devil hand’ gesture and received a lifetime ban from Fox News, Ozzy was caught in an affair with his hairdresser (oh, and four other women as it turns out)

Kid Rock pretended to really want to run for the Senate, only to find out it was a marketing ploy to promote his upcoming tour; for which he’s now being sued by Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus.

The lead singer of the Tokens “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” Mitch Margo passed away, as did Heatwaves’ Keith Wilder, Cuba Gooding Sr. (The Main Ingredient) and Steam’s (“Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye),” Gary DeCarlo left us as well.
