Our Favorite Country Singles in 2017

As we say goodbye to 2017, let’s go back in time and share we think were the top country Singles, based on sales, airplay, and overall likability…

1.) “Better Man” by Little Big Town is our favorite, winner of the 2017 CMA Song of the Year, written by Taylor Swift.

2.) “Ask Me How I Know” by the comeback artist of the year Garth Brooks. It’s hard to believe he went anywhere, but 2017 was arguably his best year in recent memory.

3.) “Broken Halos” from Chris Stapleton should be on everyone’s end of year list. His albums were record-breaking, his singles historic.

4.) “I’ll Name the Dogs” was a huge hit from the most played country artist of the year, Blake Shelton. Oh, and having Gwen in his corner didn’t hurt….

5.) “Female” from Keith Urban is an example of a song that becomes popular at just the right time; in this case, becoming the national anthem for the #MeToo movement.

Honorable mentions go to Brothers Osborne for “It Ain’t My Fault,” “I Could Use a Love Song” from Maren Morris, and Brett Young’s “Like I Loved You.”
