It may be the offseason in baseball but there is one player who has really stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the ballpark. Cole Hamels is that man and the current Texas Rangers pitcher has done so by donating his 32,000 square foot mansion to charity. You heard us right!
Hamels and his wife own a mansion in Branson, Missouri that is being donated to Camp Barnabas. This mansion is worth just less than $10 million and is being reported as the largest donation in the charity’s history to no one’s surprise.
Camp Barnabas helps children with special needs and those that have chronic illnesses, doing some really great work in the Bronson area. We commend Hamels for this amazing gesture and can’t wait to see the smiles this one creates for these children.
