Sheryl Crow has released he tribute to the poor children who lost their lives in the tragic Newtown Sandy Hook shooting, which occurred five years ago today. Sheryl has told friends and family that the incident impacted her deeply, and wanted to find a way to raise the awareness of this dark moment in our history. She’s written and recorded ‘The Dreaming Kind,’ a tune that is on YouTube this week.
It’s a personal thing for Sheryl, having her 12-year-old niece Ava on the song. She and Ava performed the song on ‘Good Morning America’ this week as part of a promotional schedule to bring the song and her feelings about the horrific shooting to light.
This week, the ‘Sandy Hook Promise: 5 Year Remembrance Benefit’ took place at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The song/video is already gaining plenty of views on YouTube. Watch the tribute song here.
